The Ghiotta Restaurant is located on a terrace just a few steps from the beach, offering a whiff of the sea breeze and a magnificent view over the bay of Biodola. Sunset is a high point of the day, the bay enhanced by the light from lanterns and candles. During high season, between June and September, you can enjoy an evening of live cooking at La Ghiotta as our chefs prepare seafood and meat dishes at your table. At lunch, enjoy the best Mediterranean recipes interpreted in a creative way, always respecting tradition.
Most of the ingredients found in our kitchen, like San Martino tomatoes, aromatic herbs and some of the fruit, come from Elba or nearby Pianosa. In keeping with the Hermitage’s social values, we support the inmates of Pianosa by using their produce in our kitchen. Anchovies, lobster, and bait-fished fish, as well as meats and cheeses – all are at zero km.
In the evening you can choose the Ghiotta seafood or meat tasting menu or request a special dish off the menu, prepared with the special of the day. Our maître d’ will be happy to suggest the ideal wine for each course, choosing from one of the hundreds of Italian and other wines in our cellar.
The restaurant is open to guests and non-guests. Not included in full- or half-board.
Open for lunch from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm on our beach and in the evenings during July and August upon booking.
May be closed in the event of bad weather.
